about the Canada part, i believe it depends on the company you are going with. For example major players like rogers and bell charge the highest. But smaller internet companies offer the same speed and service for a cheaper price. Like everything else you are not paying for the brand when you purchase from smaller companies. in my case for the last 3 years, i have been with Acanac and they offer high speed plans with unlimited usage and they are budget friendly.
